    Having been hatched from a black dragon egg in the sweltering furnace of Dofasco’s forge, D.S. Wignall lives with his family of equally outrageous creatures in Hamilton, Ontario. 

With a love for all things fantasy, sci-fi and horror, D.S. Wignall has been building worlds and creating characters since the sixth grade.

He is a graduate of McMaster University, but shockingly could not find employment in the History factory, … nor even the Philosophy factory(!). His only consolation prize has been a life spent telling stories through role-playing and fantasy wargames, and has finally decided to start writing them down. 

BLACK DEATH or ‘Sympathy for the Plight of a Poor Man’ is D.S. Wignall’s first novel, the first of the MENSIS SAGA series. 

(although, we have it on good authority that the second and third and fourth and fifth, etc….are on the way…)
